LANTERN FESTIVAL

A vibrant celebration of Chinese culture, diversity, and community, marking the festival’s return to Christchurch’s CBD after the earthquakes — reconnected the city with its rich cultural heritage.

The challenge was to honour tradition while creating a fresh, contemporary identity. Moving beyond expected visuals, the brand needed to feel both respectful and innovative, appealing to a diverse audience and reinforcing the festival’s significance in revitalising the city.
